Come join us for our next night of poetry! Metro Rhythm Presents: The Blue Angel Reading Series returns on Friday, April 20. As usual, the event will be held at Blue Angel Wines. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

The evening will feature readings by Eamon Grennan, Diana Khoi Nguyen, Josh Schneider, and Morgan Parker.


MORGAN PARKER lives with her dog, Braeburn, in New York City, where she is an MFA candidate in poetry at NYU. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Creative Writing from Columbia University. Her work has been featured in The Columbia Review, The Blue & White Magazine, and in the anthology Why I Am Not A Painter, published by Argos Books.

Brooklyn Satanist JOSH SCHNEIDER is a contributing writer for VICE Magazine and His poetry has appeared in Fun Magazine, Leveler, and Fawlt. A lifelong pisces, he enjoys sailing, archery, and golf.

Originally from California, DIANA KHOI NGUYEN is completing an MFA at Columbia University where she is currently a teaching fellow and was the poetry editor of Columbia: A Journal of Literature and Art. A recipient of awards from the Key West Literary Seminar and the Academy of American Poets, she has also received scholarships from The Center for Book Arts and the Bread Loaf Writers Conference. Her poems appear in Pool Poetry, Devil’s Lake, elimae, Vinyl Poetry, and elsewhere.

EAMON GRENNAN is a poet, scholar and a translator. His books of poetry include Out of Sight: New and Selected Poems (2010), Matter of Fact (2008), and Still Life with Waterfall (2001), which won the 2003 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize. His translation of Giacomo Leopardi won the PEN Translation Award. He is also the author of a collection of essays on Irish poetry, Facing the Music: Irish Poetry in the 20th Century (1999). He is an emeritus professor of English at Vassar and lives in New York’s Hudson Valley and Ireland.
